Testimony: One church learned a lesson from this scripture during one service. The junior church leader did not consult the senior church leader. He asked some members of the congregation to play some special music for the service while the senior leader had brought in outside musicians. Testimony: When I read this scripture I promised to God I would not murmur. Little did I know that I was about to go through several years of financial testing with very little money coming in. On the days I felt like complaining, I would remember all the children of Israel (aged 20 and over) who, except for Joshua and Caleb, died in the wilderness because of their unbelief. I resolved to be like Joshua and Caleb and not to doubt God’s promises in His Word. It was my prayer time that gave me the insight to realize that God was watching over me, and I that I needed to trust Him to meet my daily needs .

Testimony: The Holy Spirit used this scripture to really convict me of the need for more holiness in my life. It was at a time that I had added too many things to my daily schedule and got too busy for daily Bible study which over a period of time caused me to start falling in love with the world instead of God’s call for my life. I repented of my sin and knew from this mistake that I must always keep on, daily, studying the Bible to grow in faith or else my faith would dwindle. It also helped me see healing in a new light. If the Holy Spirit was dwelling in me and my body was the temple of God, then disease would not be welcome in God’s temple.

Testimony: One Christian leader was dying of tuberculosis and although many were praying for him he got steadily worse. He had to stop his ministry and move in with his parents as he was getting weaker and weaker. As he was close to death, he said to himself “I am going to walk outside to a certain tree and praise God.” He was so weak he could hardy walk, but he kept praising God and God’s power started to heal him. Testimony: A student struggled with sexual thoughts even after he had received Jesus into his heart. It got him depressed and he questioned if he was really a child of God since he had so many impure thoughts. He thought that when you were “saved” you got a new mind. What he did not realize was that when you get saved, only your spirit is renewed. You don’t get a new body nor a new mind at that time. This scripture helped him to understand that one’s mind had to be renewed to God’s ways which takes time. Testimony: A fast food store worker shared his testimony one day. He said at age four, his parents divorced and he lived one year with his mother. His mother didn’t want him and sent him to his Dad. His Dad didn’t want him and sent him to his grandparents. At the age of seven, his grandparents gave up on him and he was moved from foster home to foster home. Testimony: My prayer at my job was that I would be like Daniel in the Bible who had “God’s excellence” on him. God blessed my work tremendously to the point where one year I was the top employee among seven different cities. God promoted me by blessing my work and letting me produce much for the company. Every year God blessed my work to the extend I was given free vacations in exotic resort places along with the other top performers from my firm. Testimony: I have seen many miracles right before my eyes. Healing miracles are awesome but salvation miracles are even greater. One day some people from our church went to a rough neighborhood in town to share Jesus and bring food to the poor. We would pray beforehand to ask God where to send us. A husky tattooed-man drinking beer came up to me on the street one day and started talking. Minutes later he started to cry, and I was able to lead him in prayer to Jesus. It was God’s power that hit him. This showed me that witnessing becomes easier the more time one spends praying in the Holy Spirit before one goes out.

Testimony: One lady in our church had her car stolen. She was so upset she was in tears and prayed to the Lord. After prayer, she felt a peace within her as if God was close to her. A few days later she got a call from the police who had found her car undamaged, and returned it to her.

Testimony: A church leader taught me to pray over church meetings that people’s lips would be sealed from speaking out against the will of God. This leader said that he had a trouble maker in his church, and when he prayed this way, he noticed the trouble maker remained silent in meetings.

Testimony: One Bible teacher gave the best definition of grace that I had ever heard. He said today’s language has narrowed that definition down to mercy or unmerited favour. However that is only part of it. He said that grace is God’s power and ability to do in you what you can not do by yourself. This is why Paul emphasized in his writings in the Bible that with God’s grace (His power and ability) Christians could accomplish things they could not do by themselves.

Testimony: A couple with a tremendous healing ministry, have so much of the anointing of the Holy Spirit on them because of their prayer life. They want to know Jesus, understand His prospective, His priorities, His plan for their lives and how to minister to others. I recently heard the husband speak in a stadium of about 30,000 people. Jesus did miracles in that service and healed people. These miracles happened because these church leaders heard and obeyed the Holy Spirit’s directions.

Testimony: A Bible teacher said the important word to this scripture is believing. He said when you pray, you plant your seed like a farmer. The farmer always expects the seed to grow and talks about the harvest as he knows the harvest will come. This teacher said you have to pray this way believing in the harvest (the answer to your prayer) before you see it. So many want to believe after they see the answer but that requires no faith at all. Faith says “I believe my request is granted at the very moment I pray, since I am asking for something that I know is a promise of God found in the Holy Bible.”
